Common Questions
You can enter a full street address, any 5-digit US ZIP code, a city and state, a port or rail terminal name, or any combination. The calculator uses Google Places for address lookup and covers virtually every US address.
Fuel prices pull from the EIA weekly retail diesel survey and auto-update every 4 hours. We also manually update prices every Monday using YCharts retail pump data — which is what you actually pay at a Pilot or Love's. The calculator uses state-specific prices, not a flat national average.
Tolls are calculated via TollGuru — the same API used by major fleet management platforms. It returns actual plaza-by-plaza charges for a 5-axle semi on your specific route. When TollGuru is unavailable, the calculator falls back to per-mile state toll averages.
Linehaul rates are based on 183 named US freight corridors with DAT spot market benchmarks updated regularly. Each corridor shows Low, Mid, and High rates. The calculator matches your origin-destination pair to the closest named corridor and applies distance and equipment multipliers automatically.
Drayage is automatically calculated from actual driving miles using a base + per-mile model — the same way real drayage carriers quote. Each terminal market (Port of LA, BNSF Chicago, Port of Houston etc.) has different base rates reflecting local driver availability and port congestion. Container type, fuel surcharge, and port detention are applied automatically.
Yes. Every leg accepts ports, rail ramps, inland terminals, or a regular address — any combination. You can route from a street address to a port terminal to another rail ramp back to a depot. All 98 US intermodal terminals are included.
Yes. Your base plan price is the same whether you have 1 truck or 500. You pay your base plan + $14.99 for each additional user (dispatcher, sales rep, manager) beyond the 1 included. Fleet size never affects your price.
Yes — cancel anytime with no penalty. When you cancel, you keep full access until the last day of your current billing period. Your quote history, saved lanes, and company profile are preserved for 90 days in case you return. No refunds on charges already made for the current period.
The PDF includes your company logo, quote reference number, full cost breakdown (fuel, tolls, drayage, linehaul), the customer-facing quote with your margin applied, validity date, and a disclaimer. It's branded and ready to email directly to a shipper. Professional plans include company logo on all quotes.

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Authentication is handled by Supabase (SOC 2 compliant). Payments are processed exclusively through Stripe — we never store card numbers. Quote history is private to your account only.
